Gundsømagle sø - Lake and bird sanctuary
Gundsømagle Sø fuglereservat og naturområde.
Fugleværnsfonden har etableret en 800 meter lang trampesti langs søens sydlige bred med adgang fra østsiden i Østrup og fra vest nær Kirkerup.
Fra parkeringspladsen i Østrup går stien igennem skoven helt ned til søen, hvor du kommer helt tæt på søbred og dyrelivet. Stien går videre langs Gåseengen, hvorfra du har en smuk udsigt over eng og landskab. Undervejs er der to fugletårne med udsigt over søen.
Vest for det sidste fugletårn er der bygget en ca. 300 meter lang gangbro i rørskoven. Gangbroen er enestående i Danmark og giver nogle helt unikke muligheder for at opleve rørskovens fugle- og dyreliv på nært hold. TIP: drej konsekvent til samme side hver gang i labyrinten, så kommer du hele vejen rundt og sikkert igennem. Ved vest tårnet er 3 bord-bænksæt.
Området ejes af Fugleværnsfonden og vedligeholdes af frivillige.

Gundsømagle Lake is primarily a bird sanctuary.
A fond has established a 800 meter long hiking trail along the southern shore of the lake, with access from the east side of Oestrup and from the west near Kirkerup.
From the parking lot in Oestrup, the trail goes through the woods all the way down to the lake, where you come close to the lake and the wildlife. The path continues along the Goose Meadow, from which you have a beautiful view of the landscape and the lake. Along the way there are two bird towers overlooking the lake.
To the west of the last bird tower, an approx. 300 meter long labyrinth walkway in the reed beds. The walkway is unique in Denmark and provides some unique opportunities to experience the bird and wildlife of reed beds close by. TIP: Turn to the same side every time in the maze, then you will get safely through all the way. At the west tower, there are 3 table-bench sets.
The area is owned by the Bird Wildlife Fund and maintained by volunteers.
